I’m moving from Los Angeles to Jacksonville and am concerned about the lack of hip neighborhoods?
I’m moving from Los Angeles to Jacksonville and am concerned about the lack of hip, progressive neighborhoods. Are there any areas that stand out as such? I’m looking for a decent-sized gay and lesbian community, fun coffee shops, funky restaurants that stay open late, etc. I want to live in a lively place…not a nursing home or a ‘burg where religious conservatives suffocate the life away. Thanks very much!

A friend and I are wanting some really good seafood here in Jacksonville but we have no idea where to go. I heard the Red Lobster is bad so I am looking for a good place to go that is not too terribly expensive.
