I’m moving from Los Angeles to Jacksonville and am concerned about the lack of hip, progressive neighborhoods. Are there any areas that stand out as such? I’m looking for a decent-sized gay and lesbian community, fun coffee shops, funky restaurants that stay open late, etc. I want to live in a lively place…not a nursing home or a ‘burg where religious conservatives suffocate the life away.
